Staying at the Dixieland RV Park was not a thought-out or planned event. In fact, it was a spur of the moment when a need to relocate came up. Having located this RV park within the preferred area online via quick web search. After noting the location, amenities, and pictures on their website, it was determined that this could be the one. The next location on the RV Living Journey across the country. All it took was a quick call to the front desk and a reservation was secured.
The drive in towards the park was a lovely one. While this does depend on the direction from which you arrive, on this occasion, RV Living Journey was coming from the north. There was lots of nice farms and local businesses to be seen on the ride in. Open fields of cattle, horses, and goats, things not commonly witnessed throughout the major cities. A way of living we have yet to scratch the surface on. Endless pastures of produce led the way down route 301 towards the next destination.
Upon arrival, there is a lot of space to be pull over the RV and walk in to the office for check-in. The staff were really helpful, in fact, after guiding the rig in to the site, one of the workers was nice enough to help out with leveling the rig, hoses, and electrical lines. The spot we were assigned was superb, right in the front, close to the showers, main office, and front gate. Plenty of space between neighboring campsite lots. What made the site ever more splendid was that it was on gravel, so when it rained, it made everything easier, less messy. Not all sites have this but ours did.
Many amenities offered at this friendly RV park. A favorite amenity such as fishing in a lake on site, although it is catch-and-release only. For the security minded, a key-coded security gate which is closed at all times. Of course, there is the standard internet, laundry, restrooms, and showers on site, what people come from all around for is the music hall located directly in the RV park. As a matter of fact, hosting musical events with different kinds of music is part of their many social events which take place. We especially love the karaoke and the Bingo.
The environment, surroundings, and grounds within the RV park are well kept. Staff are always doing work around the facilities, and maintenance projects. Even the owner himself has been witnessed many times working hard to make the park a better place. Those who run this place seem to know what they are doing.
Dixieland RV Park is a popular place and one can see why. Staying at this park was quite the experience compared to others. Over the course of the time there, no complaints were noted. Not one issue with the site, utilities, staff, service, policies, or neighbors. Exactly how nomad RV living should be.
