Savannah Oaks RV Resort was the third stop on the journey and by this time we had already started to get a hang of the lifestyle and knew what to look for. It was a very soothing drive in towards the campsite. Be vigilant though as it will creep up on you before you know it. Upon arrival, there is adequate space to pull your rig over to the side to check in. Arriving on a weekday, the front desk was very accommodating. After check-in is complete, a campground employee escorts you through the security gate and to your site.

It has resort in the name for a reason as this campground is very nice, well maintained with lots of trees which provide a lot of shade. The showers and restrooms were very clean, and quite suitable. The coin laundry building was nearby too. Free internet was provided and it worked very well. This was one of the first campgrounds we have come across that provide free cable. All that needed to be done was connect a coaxial cable from your rig to the campground utility box.

The time spent at Savannah Oaks RV Resort was quite swell. In fact, we liked it so much, we wanted to stay another week. Although, this is the only part of the week that went sour. After inquiring with the front desk about staying another week, the lady did not seem interested in having it. We were clearly offered to stay another week by the initial staff who greeted us upon check-in few days prior. Since it was the weekend, it was a different employee on shift who seemed less than interested in accommodating our request. Have you ever dealt with this type of situation before?

What a shame as we really wanted to stay another week and explore the city of Savannah some more. Not a big deal as we will brush it off and carry on our journey to get to Virginia for the holidays. The rest of the time spent here was joyous, relaxing, and we hope to stay at this resort again sometime in the near future.
